How much schooling do I need to become a master plumber?
I am just trying to figure out if I want to become a master plumber.

This question I can only answer from the perspective of obtaining the license in Texas. 99% of plumbing is learned on the job during an apprenticeship, which your paid for. In the state of Texas there's only gonna be one 8hr residential code course, 16 hr commercial code course, 10 hour OSHA course and a 6 hr continuing education course required to get your journeyman license, and your then ready for your exam. So that's 40 hrs of class, easy enough right? Once you obtain the four year license it's required you hold it for four years in a row, at this point take the masters exam and your golden. Becoming a plumber is a genius idea because it's recession proof, and ultimately something that computers and robots will never be able to take from you.
