As you progress through your classes on the subject matter of the career you are interested in you will learn what tools you will require to be successful at your job. The vast majority of the time the employer supplies any specialty tools you require to execute your job.

Being passionate about your field can indeed make a big difference. Even though electrical engineering wasn't my initial interest, I was able to channel it into telecommunications. It's been a while since I've balanced a wheatstone bridge, but it undoubtedly served as a crucial stepping stone.
