Hi Aaron,
I love your question. There are so many ways you can combine drawing with cutting edge careers that help people. Start by asking yourself what do you like to draw and what are you good at drawing? This can help guide you. Here are three links to about 20 different very interesting careers that use art and drawing. Since you are living in the digital age I recommend taking computer aided drawing classes at your local community college or finding software and teaching your self. Since my area is STEM, (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) being able to communicate important information about networks or data or models is really important. Art is all around us in science, nature, math...if you have the gift of being able to draw and you like a specific type of drawing choose something that captures your interest. That spark will definitely take you places:

Good to know that you have a passion for drawing and would like to pursue a career around it. I am assuming when it comes to picking volunteers in school/community project, they look out for you. If that is the case, below are my suggestions for career that provide a good source of income as well as avenue to excel in your passion:
1) Pursuing a career in Architecture: Becoming a good and successful architect requires a number of skill traits including a good drawer. It is a specialized industry implying at a college level you need to pursue studies on architecture specialization. Also, you need to be open to travelling for work (different from travel for pleasure). Not everybody who attains a architecture education becomes an architect but it will help you in using your formal education as a entry door to other areas that require a good talent on drawing sketches, conceptual plan, business plan design amongst others.
2) Marketing Jobs: If Mathematics is not your likable subject and you are more of a creative thinker, use your good drawing skills to pursue a career in Sales and Marketing jobs. Starting positions may require to do a sketch on silo or many paper work but as you will further specialize, your drawing passion will come handy to be successful in this career.
3) Computer based data modelling jobs: This I recommend the most as these jobs will be on high demand in my opinion. But you need to pursue a combined degree on computer aided software design, or other software courses. You should be good in grasping large amount of data and in data model design.
Another suggestion I would like to give is be open about and do not restrict yourself to above mentioned career options alone. In the era of digital transformation, things are changing at a rapid pace in the job market industry every few years. Also, keep buffer for adapting to your possible new thought process, it is natural that at a later stage you discover new passions or want to focus on a specific area of your current passion as time passess by.
Wish you all the best!
