What are the best business models for building a dynamic and scalable non-profit

Since 2003, I've provided financial planning services to Indian tribes, advising on both personal and tribal policies such as budgets, taxation, risk management (insurance), investments and legacy (estate) planning. In my professional experience, clients who stayed with me were able to improve their credit, get out of debt and start saving for a home or start a business.

My vision for the Native Finance Development Corporation, 501(c)3, is to use a generalist in-person at each tribe to gather information from clients and have a subject expert via teleconference to resolve the issues. Then, on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis, my team will provide coaching to support healthy spending habits and develop vital tribal economy.

My goal is to create an organization that can support and distribute these services across Indian Country. Which are the best business models for me to study?

Wow. You are doing such cool work! And it sounds like you've already figured out how a plan for scaling your activities using a virtual or teleconference model. Amazing!

The company I work for provides technology support to nonprofit customers at scale. One way we do this is by providing live webinars using GoToWebinar on a monthly basis. We also have an online community portal where customers can help each other with common issues/challenges. In this portal, we post Knowledge Articles that provide Best Practices & answers to common questions (which can all be found through a search). We also do kind of a "train-the-trainer" model; so the webinar decks we use we provide to community leaders who then can go out and do live trainings using the same materials.

So...I'm not sure if that answers you question about a business model, but these are some ways I've found to reach customers at scale. Best of luck to you in your endeavors!
