Consider enrolling in in-class courses to kickstart your journey to becoming a yoga teacher. There are several excellent ones available. Try looking for these courses within your home country. Alternatively, you might want to explore more exotic locations like Bali. Check out this link for more information: https://www.baliyogaschool.com/

I always recommend aspiring yoga instructors to familiarize themselves with the Iyengar yoga method by taking classes in addition to other types of yoga modalities.
Online classes are worth exploring as well. There are many superb instructors as well as mediocre. Find the instructors who have been teaching for decades and are committed and knowledgeable. They are usually not influencers or celebrities.
There are plenty of teacher training programs available. A good resource is yogaalliance.org for information. Good luck!

It takes a 200 hour certification course to become a yoga teacher. I recommend doing it in your area, in-person, it is so much more immersive and meaningful. Many yoga studios offer their own training programs. If you live in a very rural area, then maybe this is not an option. Yoga Alliance is a certifying body, and has plenty of resources on their website to point you in a few directions to get started. I also recommend attending a wide variety of classes, mostly in-person but online if in-person not available, to make sure it is something you really want to do. Talk to the instructors after class, ask them what led them to being an instructor, and the path they took.
