It much more independent. You may not receive as much one on one attention and/or direction that you may be used to receiving in High School. Your work load will be heavier and your classroom size will be alot bigger as well. You will not have hall monitors, truancy officers, guidance counselors etc concerned with your well being, on an individual level. Whether or not you go to class is completely up to you. It's a bigger and more independent responsibility. It will test and strengthen your majority and commitment to handling your responsibilities.

Most if not all professors will have weekly office hours. Go to these for specific questions with help you may needed (homework, specific questions about projects, etc.) Some classes like sciences classes will have Teaching assistants as well whom you can go to for individual help. As Brittany said it's much more independent and you don't have the same class everyday so it's much easier to procrastinate. Do not do that. There will be many distractions and fun new experiences as you meet many similar aged, similar interest people so finding a healthy schoolwork-social life balance is key. Take freshman 1st semester to find what personally works for you and adjust the rest of your college career accordingly
