Hello, Sienna !

Good question ! There are no free online programs for nursing. You would have to attend Nursing School in order to be prepared for a career as a Nurse. Why do you want or need to do a medical career online ? In the health and medical field, you would be working directly on patients and you would need many specific nursing courses taught by accredited professors in an accredited college or technical school. Doing it online will never prepare you for what is needed to become a Nurse. You have asked about Programs, so I do want to let you know, all is not lost. You have options.

Since you will have to go to a board certified Nursing Program to become a Nurse, your county has five accredited Nursing schools with the exact programs you will need for learning, training and experience. No one can do this online. These schools are: Ventura College School of Nursing (located at Ventura College), Moorpark College, California State University-Channel Islands, Trinity School of Nursing and Professional Medical Careers Institute (located in Oxnard). So these are your in-person, on campus options and I believe that you can do it !

If it is that you are worried about tuition expense, you can relax because you can obtain Federal Financial Aid as well as Scholarships and Grants that you can apply for that will cover your tuition if you apply to enough of them. You can manage this. When it comes to anything medical and other careers, there is no way to cut corners or side step the process that will prepare you to be the best Nurse ever !

A good thing to do now is to go to the colleges websites and read about their nursing programs. Contact them and set up an orientation day and time and visit each campus. You will enjoy getting to know the people and obtaining all the information you'll need. There is great support for students and I hope that you will be well-informed so that you can have the best experience possible.

Best wishes in all you do !

Hello nursing student in the here...The free online nursing courses I know of are in websites like Alison where you can find a certificate program in CPR, first aid , care giving etc and websites like Class Centre but please make sure to see if is free! And to be save when signing up to such websites because they will require your email etc ( make sure the name matches the website and it doesn't take you to another unknown site okay) because some that are in Coursera can also say their free how ever once you start it's not completely free ....also check on LinkedIn to find programs that maybe up coming related to nursing .... even sign up for webinars related to nursing topics those as well can help widen your knowledge and view point in the health care field of nursing.
I hope you find the program of your desire and be patient whilst looking the greatest things sometimes take time to become amazing. Enjoy and blessings following you in your path to nursing knowledge.
