What are some careers I can get into with a Public Relations degree?

By reading the job description, you will notice that most jobs in PR require that you are a great writer and are comfortable handling media inquiries in writing and in person. If you are into sports, sports PR is a great industry! Its gives you a behind the scenes look into the sports field. You need strong written skills and be able to work quickly and efficiently. It is a great industry for those that are passionate about sports!

In today's world of always on, 24/7 connectivity and social media, public relations is a very important aspect to every company. Someone with a PR degree will have strong written and verbal communication skills therefore a good fit is to find a role in a Marketing team. Here are some suggested job titles and approximate salary ranges.

Given where you live, I would suggest looking at Marketing roles in software, SaaS companies in the bay area (SF, Oakland, etc.) Remember, your first job out of college is about learning and getting experience so be flexible and open minded.
