How can i become a professional soccer player?

Becoming a professional athlete is something that takes a lot of dedication, heart, passion and work ethic. You have to fully put your heart into the game and sacrifice a lot to reach your goal. But along with you putting in your time, you do need a little help from others. I played soccer since I was 5, played club and was involved with ODP and then from the help of my club coaches, received interest from colleges. I then played at Santa Clara, where I was noticed by professional coaches. After my four years at SCU, I then got drafted to the Chicago Red Stars, with the help from my college coaches and former teammates who believed I was good enough to play professionally.

If you want to play professionally you need to get noticed. And the only way to get noticed is obviously playing good but also having people who believe in you. Those people can not only help you improve but they will also be a credible source to college coaches, who then will be a credible source to professional coaches.

My advice to anyone would be to also train a lot on your own. The work that you put in outside of regulated training sessions, is going to set you apart from every other person who is trying to conquer the same goal!

Being a professional athlete is no easy task but it is very achievable. It will take sacrifice, dedication, and hard work. This may sound like a difficult to some, but if you are serious about reaching your goals, you already know about the challenges.

Put in the time. Turn off the video games and other distractions and spend those hours perfecting your craft. The great thing about soccer is that it is the most popular sport in the world. There are many teams out there that hold multiple tryouts.
