What is some pharmacy work place recruiting the interns for the people still in college?

I think you are asking for companies that hire students studying to be pharmacist as interns. Honestly the question is not clear.
If that is your question you should use a job board such as LinkedIn to search for internships or ask your professors for advice.

You have to look for pharmacy’s in your area willing to take you in for your hours for school. Some places accept externs/interns you just have a call and make the location sign a waiver in agreement with your school for the time frame of hours. Some places will hire you if they like how you work after completing school. I know Walgreens does intern and apprenticeships programs for pharmacy techs.

Hi, most pharmacy related employers employ interns. You should think about what area of pharmacy you are interested in. For example retail, hospital, long-term care, research et al then contact employers in those areas to see if they have open internships and how to apply. I have also seen internships listed on job boards so check those as well. Often best to apply early in the school year as some employers start the application process then and have deadlines. Good luck finding an internship in an area you are interested in.

Hi Langyi,

If you are in pharmacy school, they will walk you through the application process to show you how to get a pharmacy intern license. Then, you will be eligible to work as a pharmacy intern in places hiring for an intern -- they will specify in their intern application process if you must be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.

If you are in college, as in completing your undergraduate or graduate/ prerequisite courses, I would recommend looking at retail pharmacies to get a job as a pharmacy technician. This will allow you to work in pharmacy while in school. A lot of retail pharmacies have a bridge pathway so that when you get into pharmacy school and get your pharmacy intern license, the transition will be smoother if you decide to stay at the same pharmacy to work as an intern. A lot of times, they will want to have you as an intern when you start pharmacy school if you are a technician there.

I would also suggest looking at pharmacies local to you, and hospital pharmacies, to see if there is an opportunity to volunteer there. That may help you get your foot in the door when you become an intern as well.

Check with California Board of Pharmacy requirements, because some states are different and you must be a licensed pharmacy tech or have national certification (CPhT). A lot of retail pharmacies will train you on the job, then you will have to take a pharmacy technician test, and then you will get licensed as a registered pharmacy technician when you pass the test. I think the CPhT is a test you can study and take at a testing center for; a lot of retail pharmacies no longer pay for that specific certification, only the state required licensure for technicians.
