Hi Lashay,
I completed an online search to help with your question, and found that on average, medical administrative assistants (MAA) make $20 an hour, or $43k a year, however, this may vary depending on experience, city where you work, and also if you work in a clinic versus hospital.
Most hours for MAA’s are 8 am to 5 pm with a lunch break, but those hours may vary depending on your work setting. Hospitals and urgent care clinics are open longer hours and may have evening shifts to cover.
Make certain to ask about work schedule when interviewing for a position, and most will post the hours of work in the job description along with other important information.
