You will benefit from being open to working with customers from various backgrounds and different hair types and textures.

You may want to consider whether braiding will become a full time job for you and how to balance your job with other responsibilities you currently have.

You may want to consider whether your state or county requires certain licensing and understand your limitations with braiding versus offering other additional services which may be considered cosmetology services that require a license and additional schooling.

It is important to practice your skill and be open to shadowing a skilled braider to make sure you are honing your craft. If you can find someone willing to be a mentor and or coach they may be able to offer great advice not only for braiding but advice on being an entrepreneur. Braiders are often business owners and entrepreneurs.
