I'm 17 now and about to start my training at Job Corps and was wondering if I'd be employable if emancipated

You're 17 now, and the training duration of Job Corps' program for MAA can be anywhere from nine months to two years depending on the specific program location, so ask your instructor how long your program is and figure out how old you will be at that time.
I can assure you that you will not be asked about your family status or living situation at a job interview, so being emancipated makes no difference. Being emancipated provides you with the same rights as an adult.
A good thing to do towards the end of your training would be to utilize the Employment Services office there at your Job Corps. They can give you employment counseling, information and referrals. The one thing I can mention that would increase your employability will be how well you can ace job interviews, so keep aware of any employment oriented trainings and events at Job Corps and in your community. They can also help you create a wonderful resume which you will need to apply for Medical Administrative Assistant work. Through doing an internet search online, you can easily find instructional videos on You Tube and various websites that would help you with job interviewing as well as how to create a resume.

Hello, Congrats on your Job Corps scholarship. You should ask your Career Counselor what the age requirement is for the training and employment. If you are too young to be employed at the moment, continue your training. You want to get as much training and education before you graduate. This will better prepare you for the workforce. You have at most 3 yrs to complete your basics and then any applicable Advanced or College level training before you graduate. You may need to transfer to another campus for that extra training. Be sure to maintain good conduct and attendance so you will be eligible to continue your valuable training. Ask alot of questions, especially to the successful students and staff. Good luck, you will do well.
