For a person who plans to run for a political office, what will be an ideal office to run for? Keep in mind I only plan to have a bachelors degree, military service with the Army National Guard, and hopefully become a Commisioned Officer?

I see that you tagged this democrat so you might not agree with everything talked about here but you might want to check out www.patriotacademy.com

Thank you comment icon I too am a veteran and ran for state House of Representatives. I lost, but learned a LOT. Veterans Campaign runs a non-partisan training that is really good. I recommend starting small with a city council, township trustee, or something similar. Knock on doors, shake hands, and kiss the babies. You will build an army of volunteers and donors for when you run for larger office. You’ll need that base of support to run for state races or federal races. The amount of money and just sheer volunteer power that goes into any size-able race is impressive and you can’t just jump in without putting in some sweat equity. Join your local democrat clubs and volunteer on someone else’s campaign. You’ll get a better idea of what works and what doesn’t. Lacy Hollings
