How can I get financial aid?
I have looked on many scholarships sites such as Fastweb, Cappex, and more, but I have not won anything. What should I do to make college more cheaper?

1. Ask your guidance counselor
2. Look into local organizations that support what you are going into or are known to sponsor higher education (ie. Zonta, Kiwanis, etc)
3. Definitely apply for FAFSA
Other things to consider - going to a school that is more of a safety for you may give you more in scholarships.

If you have not alredy graduated go to your school's guidance counselor and acts where do they feel out the forms for the scholarships. 2nd thing you do is make sure that you type a resume to go in the book that You're guidance counselor suggest. If you have time volunteer at different organizations and inquire about their scholarships. If all else fails when you're in college join every club association that you can especially student support services they all give scholarships.

1. You can apply for federal student aid through the FAFSA program: https://studentaid.gov/. Depending on your parents' income, you might be eligible to receive a significant amount of financial aid in the form of federal grants or loans.
2. You should also look into applying to state schools and universities in your state, which are typically cheaper for state residents. Some schools also offer their own financial aid packages, so compare schools and see who offers the best packages.
3. Also think about going to a junior college for 2 years and then transferring to a 4 year. Many junior colleges have excellent programs and are MUCH less expensive than universities. You'll still get your degree from whatever university you graduate from, so it's a great way to save money.
4. In addition, take into consideration the location of the college and the cost of living in that area. Is rent high? Are there other schools you can go to where the cost of living is lower?
5. Make sure you prioritize taking the classes that you need to graduate. Find out what courses/units are required in order to graduate for your major, and plan your classes around that from the start. A lot of students do not plan ahead and ended up staying an extra year because they just weren't thinking about class requirements ahead of time and wasted time and money taking things that they didn't need. Be as efficient as possible with your class scheduling and it will save you time and money in the end.
