Hi Asaundra,
It’s wonderful that you’re planning to return to college! Here are a few tips to help make the transition smoother:
Plan your schedule thoughtfully: Balance your course load with work and personal responsibilities to avoid burnout.
Use time management tools: Stay organized by tracking assignments, deadlines, and personal tasks.
Reconnect with advisors: They can help you explore resources, opportunities, and potential grants available to returning students.
Wishing you all the best in your journey—stay positive and persistent!

Hi Asaundra,
Great question! It sounds like you have a solid plan to return to a community college where you can use any tuition assistance you receive from your employer. This is excellent news and I hope you have or find a job where that perk is available.
Community Colleges offer financial aid, scholarships, and some on-campus employment opportunities so you may receive assistance in one or more ways.
I suggest you schedule an appointment with an advisor so you can share your plans and be connected with financial aid, adult student representatives, and faculty to set up your support system.
Best wishes in your return to college! I wish you success and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment when you graduate and continue your schooling.
Schedule a meeting with a college advisor before or after you apply for admission
Meet with other departments, offices and faculty to solidify your plan
Gather information on time management and study skills, seek out tutoring both live and virtual, and interface with student services staff
Speak with your employer about your college schedule so you are sure to be available for all your classes and other school-related priorities
Get to know other students who are returning to college so you can set up an informal support/study group
