Hi, Khawayne. All experience is good experience. I can say from personal experience that the harder we work the luckier we get. Every person you meet is an opportunity. I WILL say it is important that you approach these things with authenticity, people can sense when you are being inauthentic. It is true that not every contact will result in something amazing right now, but a career is a loooong journey and you NEVER know when these relationships or experiences might pop up again and benefit you. Let's say 1 out of 10 relationships might be of some help to you. It's better to have 100 relationships than 10. Relationships are THE best way to get in the door. I'm a hiring manager in a big company, by the time a resume gets to me, your schooling and your skillset is already verified. What I'm looking for are examples of teamwork and anything we might share in terms of background and experience. I can say this with absolute certainty, having no internships, no outside activities and no meaningful professional relationships would be a huge barrier to anybody chasing a dream. My advice to all college students is the same, say yes to everything, try everything, meet as many people as possible and take an acting class as an elective.

Hello Khawayne, excellent inquiry! While it's true that sheer diligence and extensive experience don't always promise a flourishing career or an ideal lifestyle, the lack of effort and initiative almost certainly rules out the chance for success or the lifestyle you aspire to. Remember, life is an adventure. There are no surefire guarantees, but the best strategy to boost your chances is to persistently put in the hard work and devote yourself to your hobbies, passions, and career. Keep pushing forward, and success might just be around the corner!
