What is the best way to continue practicing what you learned in your Engineering courses?

I am a College Senior majoring in Electrical Engineering. I love my major, but I feel that some classmates have a lot more hands-on experience and practice than I do. What is the best way to continue review of engineering materials after the semester ends and get more hands-on experience? #womanengineers #engineering #electrical-engineering

Best way is actual work (internships or coop or similar). Might be hard to swing that if you're already in Senior year in your last semester.

If you're intending to continue studying (master's or whatever), it may still be possible to find an internship for the summer.

However - why not just get a job?

If you're intending on entering the workforce - you probably need to start applying for fulltime jobs soon. Best way to learn is on the job. (Actually to be honest, most of what you need to learn you tend to learn on the job - Uni is mostly just a way to teach you how to learn concepts, get you in the right mindset, etc. Not so much practical knowledge to be learned in Uni, even in engineering programs.

Employment prospects tend to be reasonable for EE, even if you don't have bona fide work experience yet. Many companies (even or perhaps especially big companies) hire people straight out of undergraduate programs. Hit up a career fair on your campus, or look around for company website job postings.

Random example (not saying you should work here or even in that industry, just giving an example because it's right across the river from you on the other side of DC):

Nadine: The answer to your question is simple. After you graduate with your Electrical Engineering Degree, get a JOB in the Field. A career in your chosen field will involve daily, hands-on experience for the rest of your career.
