To improve your chances of getting accepted into a good engineering program you should do some type of volunteer work in the field. Call around to local engineering firms and see if you can do a Summer internship. Make sure you participate in other activities in school. Such as a sport or club for colleges love to see students who are well rounded with various interests outside your career choice. Talk to your teachers and find out if they have anything you can do for extra credit or participate in any program or project that will give you more exposure to subjects related to engineering.
