How to get a finance internship when I don't have any experience?
I need a finance internship starting at the beginning of the year but I don't have any experience in the field so I'm worried I won't appear attractive to businesses.

Natali,
How to get a job without experience and how to get experience without a job is one of the biggest questions I hear from college students. Keep in mind that internships are explicitly intended to provide entry-level exposure to students without any prior work history in the industry. Every year, my team hires a college sophomore or junior who has displayed academic interest in finance through coursework and extracurricular activities, but whom has no practical experience in a job. That allows us to identify talented students who aspire to work in our field. We use this period to let them learn about our work while contributing to our efforts.
Fortunately, my firm is not alone in that approach. Many financial businesses hire student interns without any prerequisite. I encourage you to apply for jobs that are interesting to you with confidence that you likely have what is required for these opportunities — a demonstrated desire to learn more about working in finance.
