Because you have already determined you want to go into this industry -- Customer Service -- we know they are looking for someone who is: Dependable, Punctual and Detail Oriented.
I assume this about you:
- You like interacting with people
- Willing to do whatever is needed during a given shift: sweep, wipe down tables, take orders, fulfill orders, take out trash
- Enjoy the interactions with customers: Smile, empathy, small talk, willingness to help
- Aware your managers and leads may be close to your age.
When creating your resume:
- If this is your first job, list clubs or activities that match the above type of tasks.
- Consider having a two-column bullet list of words when describing yourself (i.e. dependable, outgoing, focused). But be sure to make it custom to YOU!
- Include three of your passions at the bottom. These are often ways the interviewer will start the interview. It may put you at ease.
BEST OF LUCK!
