Where are the best places to look for Internships?
I'm about to have my Associates in Business Administration then I will be transferring to get my BA in Finance. Is it good to get an internship now? Does anybody have any leads on internships in or near Nashville, TN? Thank you!

Most large companies will have a structured internship program so I would also look up the Fortune 100, 500 or 1000 companies and look for those based in your area (many internships are centered around the corporate office). Check their websites, they will normally have a section on the career page explaining internship and early in career programs. Good luck !

I would recommend taking a look at Handshake. Handshake is the #1 way college students find jobs. It is a free online career hub that gives all students access to job and internship postings, career fair and employer events, employer pages with peer reviews, and more!

While I don't work directly in finance, I can confidently say that an internship is always a good idea! Experience early on is what sets some students apart from others. And, even if one internship doesn't end up being your final career, it will still teach you valuable things about what you'll look for in the future.

It's never too early to look for an internship! It can feel stressful trying to navigate what might be the best internship for you - if you're looking to get broad experience or just learn more about what business/finance is like, you could target some local companies and get exposed to many aspects. Handshake is great, and I also recommend LinkedIn. Once you have a LinkedIn profile, there will be a tab called "jobs" that you can filter down to Nashville and start to follow companies that you're interested in. Once you follow some companies that you like, LinkedIn has an algorithm that will send similar postings to you. I liked to set up the "alerts" feature so that I get emails when new roles are posted throughout the internship search. Good luck!!
