Hi Kyndal! That’s a really good question, and it makes sense to wonder about the future of work with AI changing everything so fast. But don't be afraid, because the world is always evolving! My dad now works in online education, but when he was in school, the internet wasn't even a thing! Everyone was doing all of their work in textbooks. Can you imagine? And when I was in college, just 10 years ago, social media was just emerging as a career. Many of my professors laughed at the idea that social media was a real job! Oh how times have changed.
The other good news is that there are still skills that AI can’t easily replace, like creativity, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence. While AI is getting better at certain tasks, there are still things only humans shine at—like building relationships, thinking critically, and being empathetic.
If you’re looking at a career, try to blend tech skills with these human-centered abilities. For example, in marketing or healthcare, AI can help with things like analyzing data, but the creative and personal aspects of the job still need a human touch. Stay curious, keep learning, and stay on top of trends in your field.
Also, don’t stress too much about choosing the perfect career right now. A lot of careers evolve over time, and you can adapt as things change. Just keep gaining new skills and stay flexible—AI is just one tool, but your ability to connect with people and think outside the box will always be valuable!

I would suggest that the best investment you can make for your future is to fully engage in the process of learning. While specific skills may change, establishing a strong foundation of knowledge will always be beneficial. The future is rooted in continuous learning, and maintaining a sense of curiosity about what lies ahead is a wonderful trait. This curiosity will guide you towards a path of ongoing growth and development.

Hello Kyndal,
Absolutely, your veterinary degree holds significant value. Indeed, AI is transforming various fields, but remember, there are countless areas where AI simply cannot take over. Let's shift our perspective a bit - consider how AI could potentially aid your college studies, assist in medical imaging and diagnostics, and even make your daily clinic routine more efficient. Rather than viewing AI as a threat, let's welcome it as a supportive tool that can enhance your existing skills.
Wishing you all the very best,
