How do you join the airforce, and what can I do in highschool?
Is there a academy I should attend? Should I go straight into enlisting or go to a college and then enlist as an officer? I want to pilot

You certainly have chosen a most exciting future for your career and I would be happy to share some advice for you!
All information must be verified by a recruiter, of course, but I think getting some advice will be most helpful for you.
If it was me, I would definitely go to college first, major in Aeronautics for obtaining a Bachelors Degree. I know, some people will say enlist in the Air Force first because the GI Bill could pay for college, but if you already have a Bachelors degree when you enlist, the Air Force does offer a college loan repayment program for up to $20,000.00. Federal Financial Aid and Scholarships can help you finance college. But there are many benefits of getting a Bachelors Degree before enlisting.
So what are some of the benefits of having a Bachelors Degree upon enlisting ? For starters, you can enlist at a higher rank, you can be placed in a leadership position that will give you valuable experience, and if you commission as an officer with a Bachelors Degree, you'll get a guaranteed job and a clear career path. Another thing is that you will be paid higher then those who do not have a Bachelors Degree. These benefits may vary based on the specific Air Force program you enlist in and can change, so that is why everything needs to be verified by a recruiter.
For Air Force Pilots, the Air Force highly regards having a Bachelors Degree, so it may mean the difference between starting strong or having to wait and rise up the ranks. Keep in mind that you'd have to be younger than age 33 and will have to complete Officer Training School and the Air Force Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training program. The information is interesting and exciting, but only your recruiter can give you the exact information.
