My biggest strengths are being very focused and having a positive attitude. What other strengths would you need to be the best in the Health Field?

Hey Drew,
Great question!
First, if you are focused and have a positive attitude you are already set up to be successful in what ever you wish to do. Never change that.
Second, I received some great advice coming out of college when my advisor instructed me to start out in a hospital setting. No matter what specific field you choose, start in a hospital setting. You will see and experience everything in a hospital, as well as interact with all types of healthcare professionals. These interactions may direct you down a path that will be most rewarding to you.
Third, the other strength that I would add to your talent list is to have an open mind. Health care is ever changing and many health care professionals have a different means to get to the same end. Also, the best way to do something 5 years ago is not the best way to do it today. Keep up with all the new research and keep track of new and improved healthcare technologies that are on the horizon.
Lastly, whatever field you choose, find a mentor, whether it is your manager or a coworker who has been there a long time. Learn as much as you can from them.
Good Luck!
