WHAT? You are curious about how things work, and want to learn more about them. You have a desire to make something work better. You have a stubborn streak ( well, not stubborn - let's say "tenacious.' ) that doesn't allow you to give up on difficult problems.
HOW? You aren't afraid to ask questions. You like to read or study new topics that help you understand the world better. You can use your imagination to see alternate ways of doing things by using a different material; juxtaposing the elements;perceive an analagous situation that helps you see a solution. You like to play with different ideas.
WHY? Because you like to be engaged in doing something worthwhile that will result in helping others. You enjoy sharing ideas with others. Because you enjoy finding problems - and then solving them. You want to work yourself out of a job. The reward for solving a problem is a new problem to solve.

Building a strong relationship with your advisor early can open doors and provide clarity as you navigate your journey. Hi James,
Once you are in college, all you have to do is to get good grades. To get good grades, you will have to select classes with the help of an academic advisor or with the help of a student who already has been attending the college, preferably in Aeronautical Engineering. Selecting too many classes or too many difficult classes can make it too hard to maintain good grades. To keep yourself motivated throughout the four years, chat with professors (face to face or online chat) regularly about different kinds of jobs that Aeronautical Engineering majors do in the industry and about good places where you can apply for a co-op or internship positions to get some job experience.
