Hello, Aryanna !
No one can tell you how to manage your own specific emotions but you shall learn this through life experience and your own special personal growth.
No matter which career you choose, you will learn how to compartmentalize between your work life and your personal life.
Many employers offer time off, however. These would be in the form of sick days, personal days, and bereavement days. It is very understandable to take a sick day for mental health reasons, too. Some employers also offer their staff as a whole Business Coaching. These are just some of the things that can help anyone in any career deal with difficult times.
You may be wondering how to manage personal sadness while at the workplace. My only advice is to leave the issue at home and focus solely on the work. Your work and interactions with others on the job can sometimes provide a needed distraction from your personal feelings.
Both times when my father passed away and also when my sister passed away, I had substantial time off - one work week. By the end of the week, I couldn't wait to get back to work, be busy, resume normality and was able to deal with it. That's just me. As things come up, that's how you will find out the best way to handle it for yourself.
If you anticipate that future sadness may be an issue for you, you can discuss this concern with your high school Social Worker or your college clinic or Academic Counselor.
Best wishes moving forward for a career in Ultrasound Technology !

when working as a professional it is essential to put aside your beliefs, biases, and emotions because it is the job of the doctor to diagnose and advise of the results. Concentrating on your purpose and job helps.
