Theresa’s Answer

Hi Jazlynn, I am not an OBG-YN but I thought it might be interesting to give the opinion of someone who has visited one!

Take what you like, leave the rest.

It's just my opinion but when I go to a doctor, there's usually something wrong or, if you will, different going on with my health, right?

So I want a doctor who listens to me, who remembers me, who personalizes my visit (again, being remembered) and someone who, above all else, respects me as a woman and my rights as a patient.

I have never been pregnant but I have family history that causes me to visit an OBG-YN more often. It's of utmost importance to me that my doctor knows my history and is sympathetic/empathetic.

I also want someone who stays in touch with me, because I am not there for fun.

Good luck in all your endeavors!
