When you were a student, did you do anything outside of school to build skills or get knowledge that has helped your career?
During my time as a student, I was constantly putting myself out there for professional opportunities. My development was important so I said yes, a lot. I began freelancing to build my skill sets. I quickly taught myself social media marketing through online courses. I earned accreditations outside of UCF which helped my development while freelancing. Freelancing combined with my education ultimately prepared me for my career today. I accredit much of my success thus far to my family and my clients who believed in my abilities.
What is the one piece of career advice you wish someone gave you when you were younger?
The perfect work-life balance does not exit. Search for work-life integration.
