There are many ways with the military that one can pursue this honorable profession. First, as a Navy Corpsman, which I was. I enlisted and chose to be a corpsman which is the medical field for the Navy. You can then pursue Field Medical School to serve with the Marines…you will be their combat corpsman. I was a “combat corpsman” with the Seabees.
Second is to join the Army and become a medic. There is also the Air Force and Coast Guard with medics. Pretty much the same of going to boot camp then a school that teaches combat medicine.
Each branch offers a unique adventure!
There are also many other ways to help those who are wounded; a nurse, lab or X-ray tech, doctor, physician assistant, nurses aid….the ways you can help are soooo many!!!
