Hey Tiger, back at it again with the world-traveling dreams! I love it!

Alright, Short answer? Yes, absolutely! You can make money on YouTube while traveling the world. But… (and it’s a big but) it takes strategy, patience, and a little bit of crazy to stand out.
Now I am gonna go on a step travel for you so you can get it clearly and hope helps out but if I miss anything just reach out and ask always bud!

Step 1: Pick Your "Travel Vibe"

Not all travel channels are the same. You need a unique angle to make people hit subscribe.

Backpacking on a budget? Show people how to travel for $10 a day.

Luxury travel? Give VIP tours of the fanciest hotels.

Adventure travel? Climb mountains, jump off cliffs, and make people’s jaws drop.

Foodie travel? Taste bizarre dishes and react like your life depends on it.

Culture & People? Interview locals, experience traditions, and share deep stories.

Funny, chaotic traveler? Get lost, make mistakes, and make people laugh.

Step 2: Grab a Camera & Start Filming

You don’t need expensive gear to start. Your phone + good lighting + a stable hand = enough to begin. If you want an upgrade later, a GoPro or a decent mirrorless camera is a great investment.

Step 3: Make Videos That Keep People Watching

YouTube loves watch time. The longer people watch your videos, the more YouTube will promote them. So:

Start with a hook (first 5 seconds should make people curious).

Tell a story (don’t just film random clips—give your video a purpose).

Keep it snappy (cut out boring parts, add music, keep the energy up).

Step 4: Be Consistent & Patient

This is where 90% of people give up. Success doesn’t happen overnight. The first months? Barely any views. But keep uploading, improving, and learning what works.

Step 5: Monetize That Travel Life

Once you grow, you can make money in many ways:

YouTube Ad Revenue (after 1,000 subs + 4,000 watch hours).

Brand deals & sponsorships (travel companies love influencers).

Affiliate marketing (recommend hotels, gear, and earn commissions).

Sell your own merch/courses (teach others how to travel smart).

My only final advice is : Just Start!

Many people wait for the perfect time, perfect gear, perfect idea… but the truth is, you learn by doing. So grab your camera, pick a destination—even if it’s your own city—and start filming.

You got this, Tiger. The world is waiting, stand tall and be ready to roar! 😉

Hi Tiger,

Good advice from Dr. H.

I would add, get on some other apps for a social media presence, to build your brand and direct people to your YouTube channel. Bluesky is a good channel and you get followers and interaction quickly.

Start a travel blog. Wordpress is free. Your different outlets should complement each other. You can put a teaser on Bluesky and a more detailed story on your blog, the video on YouTube.

You don't need to start with exotic locales. You live in Gdansk? Start with some videos tours around the city. Show off the important places and some history. The next one could be the foods of the city. Read up on some background. Make it personal. People like personalities that are funny, likable, authentic, vulnerable but also informative.

Every app has their own community and "rules" of how things work and what works. You'll need to learn some video editing, some marketing skills. But just get started. Everything else will come.

Guess what, there are YouTube videos on how to start a YouTube channel and how to monetize content. Also, watch other creators in your niche with a critical eye. What do you like? What do you find boring? Find your own voice and personality.

I hope this helps! All the best in your adventures!
