Most dental schools will require a year of biology, two years of chemistry, and a year of physics. Physics will probably require you take calculus. These requirements will be easier to achieve if you are a science major, but a science major will probably not be required.
As far as extracurricular activities, anything showing your interest in health care in general and dentistry in particular will be a plus. So if you have experience (for example) as a dental assistant, or working/volunteering in medical facilities or healthcare-related charities will likely help. But the primary criteria will still be college grades and your scores in the DAT (Dental Admission Test). So don't overload your schedule to the extent that your grades could suffer.
Dental schools may differ somewhat in their admissions requirements, so check the dental school websites for more specific information.
