Hi Rahul,
Sorry to hear about the challenges you've faced with color blindness and your journey with NEET. It's key to find a career path that matches your interests and abilities while considering any limitations from color blindness. With your PCB background, you could look into fields like biotechnology or microbiology, which often involve research and lab work where color vision isn't as crucial. Also, environmental science offers roles in research, policy, and conservation, while pharmacology involves studying drugs and their effects, providing opportunities in research and development. Teaching biology or related subjects could be rewarding, and psychology offers various specializations if you're into human behavior. Bioinformatics, which mixes biology with computer science, is a growing field, and agriculture or food science might also be good options. Think about consulting with a career counselor for personalized guidance. Remember, many successful people have adapted to color blindness in different fields!

Hello, Rahul !
You can basically have any career that you want ! I am not a doctor, but do want to provide you with some information and advice about this so that you can return to your Ophthalmologist to discuss it.
Your color blindness is genetic in nature, congenital, (from birth) and although they haven't developed a permanent "fix" for it, there is something out there that you can look into. You have to find out if they do this in your country of India.
Color blindness can be helped by special contact lenses that would allow you to see colors more distinctly, improving color perception. There are special glasses, too that use filters to enhance color contrast. Hopefully these are used in India and you can discuss it with your eye doctor.
Don't let color perception hold you back. People that have sensory other abilities usually obtain support and an understanding friend and colleague that will tell them yes, that component is green, or that is blue ink. By asking you will start to use other ways of knowing the things you're working with and if you can get the contact lenses and or glasses to assist, you'll be all the more better off and able to accomplish anything you set out to do. We all need assistance no matter what career we journey through. Don't be shy to ask people what color things are. Many with colorblindness do ask about color of clothing, etc. It'll come natural to you.
Do you know that you are not alone ? You are among a huge group of 70 million people in India that have color blindness ! Don't feel held back by this. You should choose whichever career you want, be comfortable asking questions about what colors things are, and return to your Ophthalmologist to discuss the glasses and contact lenses assistive lenses that may improve things for you.
I hope this helps and I wish you well !
