If you're in high school, most employers will understand that you probably don't have a resume yet because you're busy with school. So, just talk about what you enjoy at school, what activities you do there, and what you like to do after school. Don't stress about sounding professional—they know you're not a young genius like Doogie Howser. Just be honest about who you are, what you want to do after high school, and what hobbies you enjoy in your free time. If someone expects you to sound super professional, that's pretty unusual. Just keep things simple and straightforward! 😊

Good question. Include with all of your activities what skills you gained from participating in them (team skills, leadership, communication, etc. )Include some examples of how you went above and beyond to support the team or the activity.

Include any volunteer experience you have had and what you've learned from them (broader perspective, understanding of various cultures, etc. If you haven't volunteered yet, look for short, even one-day opportunities to do things like serving meals to the homeless, visiting a senior center, pick up trash, help at a food shelf, etc.

With every good wish and many blessings.

High school students can include headings on their resumes that apply specifically to them.
1. Begin with your contact information: Name, city, state, email address, telephone number.
2. Next, include an Objective Statement that expresses your goals.
3. Education is the next heading: the name of your school, the city and state, the month & year you expect to graduate, awards you’ve received, and courses you want to highlight. Your GPA is optional,
4. Work Experience comes next if you have any - Name of company, city, state, job title, the month/ year you started and ended, and 2 or 3 bullet points that describe the work you did.
4. Extracurricular Activities is where you can list sports you’ve played and other school activities, clubs, groups, etc., including awards or special recognitions you’ve received.
Some additional headings you might include are: Skills, Languages, Volunteer or Community Service, Certifications, and Trainings - whatever applies to you.
