How can I connect with others and network myself to increase my chances to get into a PhD program?

I am currently a freshman in an undergraduate program but am very focused on my future and academics. I am pursuing a bachelor's in psychology and am interested in developmental and forensic psych.

Hi Zachariah,

Your enthusiasm is fantastic! Pursuing a PhD is a big challenge that needs hard work, dedication, and perseverance. But don't worry—you can do it! Try joining psychology groups on social media to meet others who share your interests. You'll be amazed at the people you connect with and the knowledge you'll gain. Keep going strong!
Thank you comment icon Hi Collette, Thank you for your response! I am currently heavily involved within the available psych groups on my campus. Are there any specific online groups you recommend? Zachariah
Thank you comment icon Sounds like you are on the right track! While there's no specific psychology groups I can think of at this moment, a quick search on Facebook or LinkedIn might be able to give you a boost. Also, if your schedule permits, try volunteering in the community/online. You would be surprised at the other leaders you would make connections with. Collette Adolph MSc
