I want to get into music anonymously and not have to show my face or use my own voice, any way I can do that?
info:
I am 12 years old, in seventh grade, and am female. I enjoy music and want to become a musician, but I have social anxiety and am 500% scared of being on stage.
Is there any way I can get into music and possibly do shows and interact with people without having to show my face or reveal my identity. I also don't want my voice to be out there, but I struggle with collaboration.
is there ANY way I can make music but fulfill all those requirements?

First, let's address the anonymity aspect. There are several well-known musicians who have managed to maintain their privacy by using masks or avatars. For instance, artists like Daft Punk and Marshmello are known for performing with helmets or virtual personas. In the digital age, it’s entirely possible to create and perform music without anyone knowing your identity. You can use software tools to produce music in a digital environment and perform live through platforms that don't require you to be physically present or visible. Websites like BandLab - https://www.bandlab.com and SoundCloud - https://soundcloud.com allow artists to upload and share their music anonymously, so no one has to see your face or hear your actual voice. These platforms also provide a supportive community where you can receive feedback and grow as an artist.
As for the voice issue, Avery, there are several creative solutions you can explore. One of the most popular methods is to use vocal synthesizers, which allow you to create music without having to use your natural voice. Programs like Vocaloid - https://www.vocaloid.com/en/ and Synthesizer V - https://dreamtonics.com/synthesizerv/ let you compose and sing using synthetic voices that sound very natural and human-like. Many musicians use these tools to create songs that are highly personal but still remain anonymous. You can also explore text-to-speech software or auto-tune tools that manipulate your voice in a way that ensures no one can recognize it.
If you struggle with collaboration but still want to engage with others in the music industry, consider using digital collaboration platforms like Splice - https://splice.com or Kompoz - https://www.kompoz.com. These platforms allow musicians to collaborate remotely, sharing files and ideas without having to meet face-to-face or disclose their identities. You can work with other artists and contribute to projects without ever needing to physically interact with them.
Finally, Avery, when it comes to live performances, you don’t necessarily need to appear on stage in the traditional sense. You could look into virtual performances or live streams where you can interact with fans in a virtual environment or behind an avatar. Platforms like Twitch - https://www.twitch.tv and YouTube Live - https://www.youtube.com/live allow creators to stream their music and performances while using avatars, masks, or even animation to hide their identity.
In summary, Avery, there are many ways to pursue a music career while maintaining anonymity and avoiding the need to show your face or use your own voice. By leveraging technology, you can create, collaborate, and even perform without ever stepping into the public eye. Start by exploring music production software, vocal synthesizers, and online collaboration tools, and remember that many successful musicians have navigated similar paths to preserve their privacy and comfort.

Thank you for being so frank about your situation. I will give you some solid advice as someone around the entertainment industry. I apologize if it is too frank, however you must be well informed.
You would not be able to begin and sustain a career in Music by being anonymous, not showing your face, or using your own voice, having your voice public and not collaborating and not interacting with an enormous amount of people in studio or on stage. Anyone that tells you differently may be giving you information that can steer you wrong. The entertainment field, including music, is an extremely people oriented business and that's why they do it - for an audience, which means people. A music career is not simply what you want it to be, it is what it is and it's very much not solitary or anonymous, plus it's very competitive and everyone else follows the usual path it takes, networking with many people and many live and studio performances. You will not have a music career by relying on devices or internet software for a career in Music. It's good and fun that those things exist, but they aren't the career. You need to learn about what the career is all about.
Singers get jobs by self-promoting themselves or getting gigs through their Agent. An agent is never going to call you to do anonymous internet work, they will send you on high paying projects and that means you'd have to be willing to record under your name, perform live on stage with your name, film or video with your name on credits - which is a lot of collaboration, or at events with large audiences. You can use the internet and devices to experiment and learn them, but it will not make for a career.
The way you've described the music career you want does not define the career. My advice is that, since you are 12 right now, your concerns may change as you get older and you may really enjoy the people oriented atmosphere of a music career. Give it some time, take music classes at school and when you get to high school, and consider going to college as a Music Major for an Associates or Bachelors Degree. You will get a rigorous education about the Music industry that way and it will get you used to progressing out of any concerns you have at this time. Doing everything online is definitely not going to help you progress with personal, social and professional development and is not a realistic benefit in learning about or getting substantial experience for a future music career.
I know this advice may sound disappointing, but your career doesn't have to start just yet. Personal and social development just may be what will help you in the future. Give it some time. Best wishes to you !

Yes, absolutely you can make music without showing your face, using your voice, or revealing who you are. There are tons of artists who create music anonymously I’m one of them! and you can totally do it too.
You might start by making instrumental music or beats using apps like GarageBand or BandLab no singing needed. And if you ever want vocals in your songs, there are tools that let you use computer voices or virtual singers instead of your own.
You can also create a fake artist name and use an avatar or cool artwork to represent you, so no one ever sees the real you. Performing live isn’t the only way to be a musician lots of people just post their music online and connect with others while staying completely behind the scenes.
So don’t worry you can absolutely build a music world that fits you and keeps you comfortable. Want help picking a vibe or artist name?
Hope this helps—
Good luck!
