How do people find research-type careers in clinical psychology/ neuroscience?

How do you find interships or jobs with research opportunities? I am in 12th grade, and will be attending a four year school in the fall. I plan on getting my Masters degree after university, and majoring in clinical psychology. I am wondering how students going down the same path as me find interships and jobs once they graduate.

The simplest way to start this career is by finding a mentor at university.

From my time at Bucharest University, I found that the best mentors are those who have traveled abroad for PhD or research projects. Look for stories about functional MRI research, which often needs elite access.

While you're at university, you can freely use research databases like PubMed. If you can't find a mentor at your university, consider authors of published studies.

Hope this helps, and good luck!
