Hi Natalie,

Congratulations on starting your sophomore year at San Francisco University! That's a fantastic step forward. I remember working for nearly ten years before I graduated from the University of Minnesota and got my license there. It made it easier for me to land a job as a Licensed Landscape Architect.

I highly recommend looking into internship or mentor programs with agencies like CALTRANS, which employs many Landscape Architects. The Army Corps of Engineers and the City of San Francisco also offer great internships in Landscape Architecture. These opportunities provide valuable hands-on experience and can help you get a foot in the door. Even if you decide not to pursue government work, these experiences will shine on your resume.

I hope this advice is helpful to you. Best wishes for your journey!

Hi Natalie,

Great questions! Yes, it was tough to find a job as an architect after graduation, even for a good student like me. The key thing that helped my resume was experience. Here's what you can do:

1. **Internships and Work Experience:** Get involved in internships or work with instructors.

2. **Side Projects:** Participate in design competitions or work on projects for family and friends.

3. **Pro-Bono Work:** Volunteer with local organizations to gain experience.

Make sure your resume shows you're involved in tasks related to the job description. This will help you get noticed by recruiters.
