Graphic Designers: How hard exactly is your job?
As an amateur artist wanting to pursue a career in graphic design, I was just wondering how hard or easy the job really is.

Hi Jonny!
the interesting and also hard part becoming designer is part of service, how you make the alignment with various people in this industry. How you treat them, satisfy normies that maybe doesnt know about the creative field, make them repeat your order is the challenges of this job. if you are mastering the hard skill of design you have finish a half of your problem. you should be skill full in this field so the rest is just figured out how to interact with people with different ages, education, environment etc.
You can do it!
Thank You

Hello Jonny,
Graphic Design can be both easy and difficult, depending on what type of position your in. When you graduate college with a graphic design degree, you will most likely be working a entry-level role as a fresh graduate out of college. There are 3 types of levels I'm assuming, entry, mid and senior level designers. As obvious entry-level is a person new to the field or with minimal experience, so they will have more easier tasks and gets tougher as you approach to senior level designer. When I was in college I was a intern for graphic design and I had pretty easy work to do, but it all depends on the company you work for. Also you can freelance, where you design on your own and can potentially turn it into a business.
Best,
Gishan

I agree with Labib. One of the biggest mistakes young designers make is that they believe that all they have to do is make a great creative design and collect a check. But the truth is, design is a service. Sometimes your clients aren't good communicators and it's hard to understand what they want--often because they don't know what they want. Sometimes they think they know everything about what designers do and tell you how to do your job instead of getting out of the way. And so on, like Labib said. So at least half of the job, if not more, is relationship management and remembering that you're there to give the client what they want--even if what they want is so awful, you don't want anyone to know you had anything to do with it.
The best designers have learned how to manage relationships and make their clients feel valued and heard. By providing excellent service and doing your best work, eventually you might become a respected authority in the field, and clients will come to you because of your reputation and the work you've done. But it's tough. I think now, more than ever, if you want to work in any creative field, you have to really have a burning passion and conviction to succeed.
