How good do I need to do on the Act?

What is considered a good Act score? Are there any ways to go do a decent university for free solely based on your Act score without financial aid?

Look into websites like niche.com and do some research. You can add whole lot of filters to narrow down your choices of colleges. I would think in any US college, 30+ on ACT would be a good score. If you don't want to take out student loan, I'd suggest getting your college applications in before Nov 1st and also make sure to fill in the FAFSA application which allows schools to offer you federal grants which you don't have to pay back. Also, get in touch with your schools counselor. They, often times, have information on scholarships offered by private companies. You could search online also. A lot of private scholarship money sometimes go unused as students don't apply for them. Good luck with college search!

Depends on the school you are applying to or interested in. Do your research on their expectations and attend a college visit. Some schools offer scholarships depending on your score. Also there are schools who do not require ACT or SAT. I have also heard that if you take the December ACT test you can ask for the results with the questions. This can help you study for the next test.
