Tyler’s Answer

Forensic anthropology is a specialization inside of anthropology that borrows more from the biological and medical sciences than the rest of anthropology. A good forensic anthropologist will take a range of general anthropology courses about the history of anthropology, material culture, social systems, etc. But, a forensic anthropologist will also take courses in anatomy, physiology, biology, and other sciences that help address the specific demands of forensic anthropology to be able to identify human remains.

The American Anthropological Association has a great careers website that offers information about different career tracks. Forensic anthropology falls under the umbrella "Biological Anthropology". Check it out. https://www.americananthro.org/AdvanceYourCareer/Content.aspx?ItemNumber=2150
