Hi Joana,

www.indeed.com - use search words like "internship"

I don't think you should limit your search to paid and unpaid internship with organizations. I'm not familiar with your area, but sometimes organizations are limited legally (or through their policies/procedures) from accepting unpaid internships. Some organizations prefer offering internships to students working on bachelor degrees or advanced degrees. This shouldn't discourage you from seeking experience. Hiring an intern is a significant time commitment for the supervisor so they may request certain skills that you may not have yet.

Sometimes, it can be useful to find a non-profit organization that you like and start volunteering there. As you show up on time and complete your role well, ask about taking on more advanced roles. If you have a field that you think you would like to work in (like marketing or teaching), you can ask if they have anybody that does anything similar to this as you would love to meet them (have an informational interview, but you can call it a conversation) and find out if they could use any help. This way you can explore careers, build a resume and show that you support a good cause. The references can help you land other opportunities (like paid onpportunities).

I would be careful of unpaid internships. It gets a little dicey in regards to employment labor laws. I speak from experience. You need to get something for your time. That used to mean either school credit or pay. I'm not sure of the laws now but you'll need to be aware of that. I don't have an answer to your question regarding sites but most large corporations will offer internship programs. I would check with your school to see if they have relationships with any local businesses. You can also volunteer to help the school reach out to business to offer up that connection. Business love having a school help supply them interns. The other bit of advice I have is to just keep asking everyone. Put it out there you are looking for an internship or temporary/part time experience. You never know who knows who.
