What can I do as a communication Studies major?

At first I wanted to be in the medical fields but I hear that it's too competitive so I am thinking of going to be in the communication studies field. What can I do with this major? I mean what jobs do they offer? #job #work #oral-communications

With a communication degree there are many options to explore. Some of the popular paths are industries in public relations, marketing, social media, public speaking, media related (television, radio, new media), journalism. But don't be limited to these career paths, strong communication skills are valued across many fields.

A communications degree opens up several avenues. A Bachelors or Masters degree in communications typically covers subjects like Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations & Corporate Communications, Photography, Film-Making, and also Graphic Designing in some cases. The new-age schools also offer a component in Digital Communications. If you are interested in any of these subjects - I would suggest going for it knowing two things (1) it will be very interesting - and no two days will be the same (2) on an average, the starting pay will be fairly low but that will not be the case forever. As you grow in the ranks and if you are good at what you do, the money will follow
