Should I do a post bac premed program?

I have a bachelors degree in Biology Pre Health option and i am trying to figure out my next move. I don't feel prepared to take the MCAT so i was looking into post back programs but they seem like they are only for students who did not major in biology. Are there any other program options? #doctor #science #biology #school #pre-med #professors

I agree with doctor Bashardost. If you are not willing to commit to an extremely rigorous life studying and practicing medicine, look for another profession.

She is right in prepping for the MCAT, but you have to have great college grades and other character references to be attractive to medical schools.

Hello Kiah,

Since you already have your bachelor, I would recommend you to do a prep course for MCAT and write the exam, that is If you still want to pursue medicine. Going for a premed program will really not help you in medicine except for just lengthening the process. I went to a 4 year program for my bachelors and then to med. school, but honestly they are foreign doctors practicing and doing great in US and canada with out a premed background. So overall it will really not make a difference in your knowledge or experience level if you want to pursue Medicine.

If you want to pursue another career , then there is plenty of options depending on what are you interested in.

Hope it helps
