Patrice’s Answer

You should not let your wrist surgery limit your choices. Because of the Americans with Disabilities Act, many companies will work with you to accommodate your disability. I work at Visa and we have people whose job it is to perform an ergonomic assessment of employee needs and provide whatever is necessary to best enable them to do their jobs.

Sachin’s Answer

Hi Caitlin,
Sorry about the wrist surgery. Hope you recover soon.
If you are interested in STEM, being a software-engineer or a data scientist could be a good career choice. It is challenging and mentally stimulating and you wouldn't be limited by having only one functioning arm.

Sachin recommends the following next steps:

Glassdoor and LinkedIn could be a good starting point for finding internships.
