How do I get an internship at NASA?

I'll start with: I'm an international student. I'm currently in First Year Engineering and I'm planning to do Aero and Astro. My gpa is kind of bad at the moment but I'm working on it. Is there anything I can do apart from increasing my GPA to get an internship at NASA?

It's wonderful to see your dedication to self-improvement. You might want to reflect on the reasons behind your low GPA. If you're having trouble with a subject that's part of your major, consider seeking help within the university. This could be through a peer tutor, a university-appointed tutor, or even your course instructors. This assistance can help you raise your GPA to 3.0 or higher. Another strategy could be to enroll in classes next term that you're confident you'll do well in, for a quick GPA boost. Keep in mind, NASA internships demand a significant time commitment from students, so ensure you're ready to dedicate the necessary hours to your potential employer.

This video should help you get an internship at NASA

Thank you comment icon Hi Saquib, although the video is a helpful resource, posting a link isn't the best response. Is there anything else you can add in terms of internship prep or what the main takeaways from the video are? Gurpreet Lally, Admin

Going to the intern portal on NASA website is the best starting place. https://intern.nasa.gov/
They do indicate on the site that you have to be a US Citizen.
Here is another page from NASA's website that lists 10 things that you can do to prepare for NASA internship - https://www.nasa.gov/feature/stem/10-things-you-can-do-now-to-prepare-for-a-nasa-internship.html

Good Luck!
