Is being an electrical engineer a viable option?
I plan to do engineering at Dartmouth College and plan to concentrate on electrical engineering. I also plan on going to graduates school after Dartmouth. I love electrical engineering, but I am not sure if it is a viable option in terms of job opportunity. What do you think?

I come from a family of Electrical Engineers and if there is one thing I've learned it's that there are never enough EE grads. I know the world is going through a tricky time at present but previously you would have had no issues finding a job coming out of Dartmouth with an EE degree (not even needing a Masters). If you don't want to pigeon-hole yourself then maybe take on something like Robotics as a hobby or possibly a minor(combing electrical and mechanical). My general advice is always that coding skills never hurt either :)
All the best.

I would suggest taking a look at this website and looking at the list of jobs that are possible with this type of degree. That way you can figure out if it is really something that you feel is going to benefit you in the long run to pursue and also it will give you idea what type of education you would need for these types of jobs. hope this helps.
