Hi Amera, that's a great question! I definitely agree with Olivia, apply for any and everything you qualify for. The more applications you can put out there, the more chances you give yourself. I'd recommend keeping a to-do list of sorts for all the scholarships you find, organized by due date, so you know what each scholarship requires (resume, essays, recommendation letters, etc.). Keeping on top of due dates is one of the most difficult aspects when you're applying to a lot of different scholarships. When I was applying for scholarships in high school, I ended up missing some deadlines because I just didn't have them all organized in one place.

In addition, when working on your resume and essays, think about the things that make you unique and highlight them! Best of luck to you!

Alyssa recommends the following next steps:

Research scholarships you could qualify for (Check out this USNews article for some ideas: https://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/paying-for-college/articles/2017-09-14/10-sites-to-kick-off-your-scholarship-search)
Create a "To-Do" List of scholarships organized by due date (make sure you note what they require - essay, resume, recommendation, etc.)
Create (or update) a resume to highlight your skills (think outside the box, this doesn't just have to be school accomplishments - volunteering, work experience, unique skills like playing an instrument, photography, etc. are great things to include)
Think about who you would have write you recommendations (teachers, coaches, and employers are all great options)
Practice writing some essays based on common scholarship prompts

When I was applying for scholarships, I applied to all scholarships that I qualified for! I contacted my financial aid office and they led me to a site where they had a variety of scholarships available. From there I applied to as many as I could in order to obtain a higher chance of getting one. There are also many online scholarships that you can apply to by following the similar strategy: https://www.scholarships.com/financial-aid/college-scholarships/scholarships-by-state/minnesota-scholarships/ - there's no harm in applying, is the way I looked at it, which contributed to some success!
