A minor is a sub set of tools within a degree. So the first questions is what tools do you see predominately used in your market? Neuropsychology just like IT knowledge is an analytical perspective and is as valueable as any tool in your kit. What do you feel would be a tool that would help you better serve the purposes in life that your values align with? Do you know what you want to serve with you background?

Hi there!

Human and family studies would be a great minor to pair with pediatric neuropsychology. Most of the people that end up taking human and family studies classes are people completing degrees in the medical field or non-profit field. In a career where you will interact with many different children and families from many different walks of life, this can become a very useful career.

This as a minor would consist of classes that dive into the sociology of families, socioeconomic status and its effect on families, and more. It can be applied personally as well as professionally and will better equip you for a portion of your future career that your degree in pediatric neuropsychology may not cover. While this may not be the most important part of your future career it has value. You should take some time to see what classes are offered for this minor and see if it would be a good fit for you.

Psychology would also be a good minor as it is a more general form of your major. Being that it is more general, it may cover areas of psychology that your major won't. There may be more unique class options that tie into your major. Having this as a minor may help your studies to be more well-rounded.

You may also consider going for a higher degree after undergrad and if that is the case then you may want your minor to speak to your academic ability. In this case, I would suggest biology. Doing a minor in biology would show strength in your academic abilities and it would tie in nicely to the science of neuropsychology.

Really, the minor you choose should depend upon how you intend to use your major. Use the minor to enhance the value of your major. Those are a few options to keep in mind. I am sure there are many more than I was able to list.

Best of luck!
