Phillip’s Answer

With respect to becoming a lawyer, the basic degree necessary is a bachelor's degree from a university. Fortunately the sky is the limit in terms of what types of bachelor degrees you can get: from literature to biology to history, pick the subject matter that most interests you and do your best to excel at it (i.e. learn as much as you can, get good grades, etc.). Critical thinking and reading comprehension are important lawyer/law school skills that can be developed no matter the area of your college study. So: work hard and learn a lot in the area that interests you most and you will go far -- whether as a lawyer or in some other profession!

Richard’s Answer

To become a lawyer, you will need a undergraduate degree from a 4 year institution. Then you will take the LSAT (law school admission test), and apply to law school. Law school is three years. After completing law school and passing the Bar exam, you will be lawyer.
